Teacher educators’ engagement with school-based assessments across Irish teacher education programmes

There is a shift towards increased accountability and assessment in schools this echoed an Irish context, with neglected area of study teacher education programmes. The aim to explore educators understanding school-based practices how they prepare pre-service teachers assess schools. Interviews sample attached 13 programmes, residing two associated higher institutes, conveyed the policy implications curriculum change, need for literacy professional development consideration standalone modules or embedded approach
